Our large-scale project for the creation of Ulduz Island within the premium Sea Breeze Resort in Baku. From complex engineering solutions to detailed master planning: a presentation of our completed and ongoing design work for this unique development on the Caspian coast
The implementation of complex geometry in the form of a regular eight-pointed star required non-standard engineering approaches. To ensure the absolute stability of the massif, the project was adapted to the specific current level of the Caspian Sea (-23.800 CSL).
The island is designed to withstand extreme environmental loads. Engineering calculations incorporate wave and ice impacts, as well as dynamic loads from berthing vessels. The project fully complies with the following standards:
SNiP 2.06.04-82*
SNiP 2.06.01-86
To ensure the durability of shore protection in an aggressive marine environment, advanced standards for concrete hydraulic structures were applied (SP 41.13330.2012). The design of the berths was carried out in accordance with maritime port regulations:
RD 31.3.05-97
RD 31.31.27-81
Shape: Regular eight-pointed star
Structure Type: Artificial island (massif)
Sea Level: -23.800 CSL
